For defender Daniel Woolard, 2008 was as year of firsts as he saw his first career MLS minutes, start, and goal. Drafted in the fourth round of the 2007 MLS Supplemental Draft, Daniel Woolard took advantage of the Reserve Division to log minutes and gain experience through 2007 and 2008 and after not seeing action in 2007 league play, in 2008, Woolard was rewarded for his hard work with first team minutes. The Bedford, Texas continued to compete for playing time scoring his first MLS goal versus New York on Oct. 23. in 2009 he continued his push for minutes breaking into the first team starting XI four times in the regular season. Woolard will look to earn increased playing time in 2010 due to his strong work ethic and hard-nosed defensive efforts as he vies for contention in one of the best back four in the league.
