Over 200 players showed off their skills for first team and academy coaches on Tuesday, December 2 during Round 1 of the Chicago Fire Open Tryouts. A total of 52 players advanced to the second round on Wednesday, December 3. After participating in a 50-min, 9 v 9 format scrimmage, a total of 25 players continued on to the third and final round later in the afternoon. The coaching staff will now discuss the possibility of any of the players attending preseason camp with the first team this February 2009. Players will be notified of the final decisions by the end of this week.
